Research Process
Conducting research involves the following phases:
- Developing your research question and protocol
- Submitting your proposed study to the Institutional Review Board
- Conducting your study and collecting data
- Statistical analysis
- Dissemination of results, including manuscript development
The amount of time required for each phase depends on your study question and design. At Mount Carmel you will work with partners from across the system, including the Mount Carmel Research Institute, Graduate Medical Education, the Health Sciences Library, your attending advisor, and others to successfully complete your project.
