Welcome
Welcome to Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education. On behalf of the program directors, faculty, residents, fellows and staff, it is our distinct pleasure to present our residency and fellowship programs to you. We are proud of our rich history, mission to compassionately serve, and be a healing presence for those who are less fortunate and seeking excellent care. For many decades, Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education has been educating residents in a unique environment involving 3 different hospitals, each serving a distinct patient population. Because our residents and fellows rotate within a multitude of environments, we can provide them with a much broader clinical experience to best prepare them for the future.
Mount Carmel Grove City is our flagship educational hospital which serves as the home base for Graduate Medical Education. Residents and fellows at this state-of-the art facility provide care for a diverse population, including both at-risk and underserved patients. Mount Carmel St. Ann’s provides our Family Medicine residents with an unopposed learning environment where they provide the full spectrum of community-based medicine. Our surgery and orthopedic residents also rotate to Mount Carmel East, a Level II Trauma Center.
We recognize the impact social justice can have on health disparities and we want to work and learn together to improve the health outcomes for all persons in our communities. Mount Carmel's long-held mission of service perfectly aligns with the preparation of tomorrow's physicians to deliver evidence-based, high quality, and equitable care. To be sure, the spirit, mission, and core values of Mount Carmel are alive and well today! In fact, we know that it is our mission that provides us with the spiritual compass to navigate through these challenging waters of healthcare. This is who we are. This is our foundation. This is Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education.
