Salaries for Resident and Fellow Physicians

Our resident physicians receive competitive financial support in the form of salaries during their residency at Mount Carmel. Their annual salary compensation is based on their PGY level in the residency program. The following is the salary information for the 2025-2026 academic year.

PGY-1: $66,035.79
PGY-2: $68,264.33
PGY-3: $71,799.21
PGY-4: $73,216.99
PGY-5: $76,639.38

Continuing Medical Education

$2,500/year for educational expenses (exams, textbooks, courses, etc.)
$600 technology fund during PGY-1
MKSAP and ACP access provided
5 CME days/year to attend conferences
Additional $1,000 available if presenting as first author with MCHS-affiliated attending

$3,000 food stipend usable at any Mount Carmel rotation site
