The Ohio State University (OSU) and Mount Carmel Health System integrated their OB/GYN residencies in 1995. The integrated nature of the program benefits the residents by allowing them to practice medicine in the environments of a tertiary care referral center and also a robust community-based hospital system. The specialties represented at each site include: Obstetrics, Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology. Reproductive Endocrinology education is fulfilled at the University site. The residents rotate during all 4 years at 3 sites: Mount Carmel Grove City, Mount Carmel St Ann's and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The core teaching faculty members are all board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. All subspecialties of Obstetrics and Gynecology are represented by board certified faculty members who are actively involved in clinical teaching and supervision. The program has 11 residents per year. The current ACGME accreditation is for 10 years. Our training program will graduate a physician who is proficient to practice the specialty of general Obstetrics and Gynecology but also prepare the resident to be a competitive applicant for all of the subspecialties of OBGYN. Each year we graduate residents that pursue and succeed in securing fellowships all across the United States.
