Building stronger relationships with our EMS partners means doing everything we can to not only provide the best possible care for your patients, but to do everything we can to make your experience with us better. That starts with making EMS Coordinators available at every one of our hospitals and free-standing emergency rooms and continues with programs and amenities like these:

ER Issues

Mount Carmel EMS Coordinators are available at every ER to work with you and resolve any issues that may arise.

Missing Equipment

If you have equipment that cannot be found or picked up for whatever reason, we will do everything in our power to assist in finding it and either delivering or having it returned to you as soon as possible.

EMS Lounges

We’ve created EMS lounges at each of our hospitals as a comfortable place for you to write reports, relax for a moment and grab a snack or something to drink. There are also on demand water machines. And, there are comment cards in each lounge you can use to let us know if there’s anything you need or we can improve upon.

Medical Direction

Our ER physicians are available any time to receive requests regarding medical direction. In fact, several physicians who work in our EDs are also medical directors for local EMS agencies, including:

Patient Follow Ups

Mount Carmel EMS will automatically follow up with each crew and the EMS Coordinator for each department that transports a patient to Mount Carmel as a STEMI, stroke or trauma alert. We also have comment cards in the EMS lounges and the online form below that will allow you to directly request a patient follow up for any reason. If you do not receive a follow up on an alert or a request, or if you would like additional information on any of your patients, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the Mount Carmel EMS team.
