Admitting and Scheduling Patients

The process of admitting and scheduling patients can be very time consuming. We're working to make it less by implementing simpler procedures for you and your office staff.

Outpatient & Diagnostic Scheduling

For your convenience, Mount Carmel's Central Scheduling Department can schedule the majority of your clinical tests and procedures. Central Scheduling can be reached at 614-234-7400, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Inpatient Admitting

Call Mount Carmel Transfer Center at 614-234-SEND (7363) – It not only simplifies the transfer and admission process, but also ensures the continuity of quality care and expedites access to critical care services for your patients. Please have the following information available when you call:

Referring hospital’s name, phone number and fax number
Referring physician’s name and contact numbers
Patient’s name, age, diagnosis and type of specialty care or service requested
The clinical status of the patient

OR Scheduling

Mount Carmel operating suites are scheduled in modified blocks combined with first-come/first-serve scheduling. Call each of the ORs directly to schedule your procedures.

Pre-Admission Testing

At Mount Carmel, pre-admission testing is accessible either by calling our primary care physicians directly or through our hospitals. Mount Carmel has a team of pre-admission testing professionals on each campus to assist you.
