POCUS Curriculum

Point-of-care ultrasonography (POCUS) has become a useful bedside tool to assist clinicians with procedures and diagnosis. Mount Carmel Internal Medicine Residents receive dedicated Point of Care Ultrasound didactic education from a fellowship-trained faculty member. Additionally, residents receive hands-on instruction on standardized patients and simulation trainers. Portable ultrasound machines are available to perform bedside assessments in the clinic and in the hospital.
