Mount Carmel Health System Names Michael Moran as President of Mount Carmel Medical Group

Columbus, Ohio – November 4, 2021 – Mount Carmel Health System today announced that Michael Moran has been named president of Mount Carmel Medical Group, effective Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. Through Michael’s vast experience supporting and working alongside doctors and clinicians, he will lead Mount Carmel’s network of more than 250 primary care and specialty care providers throughout central Ohio.
Michael comes to Mount Carmel with decades of experience in building out healthcare infrastructures. Throughout his career, Michael has helped develop five hospital physician networks, as well as numerous independent physician networks. He also served as the chief operating officer of Inova Medical Group, a hospital-owned medical group in North Virginia with 650+ providers, 1900+ employees and 100+ locations, and owned and operated his own physician practice management consulting company for more than six years.
“Michael is a connector, innovator and leader focused on improving patient care and the bottom line,” said Nicholas Kreatsoulas, DO, Mount Carmel’s chief clinical officer. “Mount Carmel’s patients and providers will benefit from Michael’s entrepreneurial mindset, and extensive experience in operations management, change management, strategic planning, and transformational executive leadership.”
Michael most recently was a managing director for FTI Consulting, a global business advisory consulting firm, where he advised clients on everything from operations management, to leadership mentoring and community partnerships. He holds an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University, a master’s degree in sports medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, and a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Canisius College. He also serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Fund for College Auditions, is a member of the American Medical Group Association and the Medical Group Management Association, and is a lecturer at George Mason University.
