Because You Needed A Ride Home

Two nurses at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Family Medicine Practice, Cheri and Maureen, were getting ready to head home at 7:30 one evening when they noticed a patient sitting alone in the lobby.

When they asked why she was still there, the patient said she'd lost her cab voucher and had no way to get home. Cheri and Maureen quickly called the emergency department social worker and were able to arrange a taxi for her to get home. The two then sat with the patient until her cab showed up so she wouldn’t be alone.
