When I first moved to the area, I randomly chose a different provider in this practice, but it was difficult to get an appointment. For an acute need, I ended up seeing Dr. Winchell. When I finally got in to see my chosen PCP, I decided that I like Dr. Winchell much better and decided to switch to him. He has been fantastic.
I appreciate being treated like an individual and not just another number. I've never felt rushed or patronized.

The wait times have always been slow but this visit was the worst. 35 minutes in the wait room past my appointment time then another 30 waiting in the room. This practice is always late.

I know he is very busy, and time is a premium - but I only see him once a year and he appears rushed and in a hurry.
As always, he knew my history, offered suggestions on my health and listened to what I had to say.

I moved to Flahdah over a year ago but was unable to get an appointment there until this coming June and Dr.Winchell and the staff maintained my health concerns from afar. This is not specific to my doctor or my recent visit, it is specific to Mt. Carmel. I am growing increasingly frustrated with the 'social justice' push your organization is taking. I simply want medical advise/care from Mt. Carmel. I do not want political or social issues being forced upon me through e-mails, pamphlets or other outreach from Mt. Carmel. This is wholly a political issue and has nothing to do with healthcare. I am considering moving my care to a private practice where only my health and well being are their concern.
