Hypertension

If you need help controlling your high blood pressure, the Mount Carmel Hypertension Center is your resource for expert, collaborative care and personal service.

The center provides one-on-one consultations with a pharmacist under the guidance of our cardiology medical director. Those consultations can result in:

• More efficient and cost-effective selections of medications
• Additional treatment options
• 24-hour ambulatory hypertension monitoring
• Referrals to other cardiovascular specialists

Regardless of the treatment plan, the center’s goal is to get you to your target blood pressure safer and sooner.

If you think a consultation at the Mount Carmel Hypertension Center may be helpful to you, you’ll need a physician referral and to meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Not be pregnant
• Have persistent uncontrolled hypertension despite taking 3 anti-hypertensives, including a diuretic
• Not already be under the care of a nephrologist
• Not have complex congenital heart disease or advanced kidney disease
