Irina Arp, MD, FACS

- Irina Arp, MD is a board-certified surgeon with Central Ohio Surgical Associates. She received her medical degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio and completed her surgical training at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Arp is a member of the American College of Surgeons. She has special interest in breast surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Arp is actively involved in ongoing research in the field of breast oncology.

- Dr. Dabbs received his medical degree from Northwestern University, and completed his surgical training at Wright State’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, training at the city hospitals in the Dayton metropolitan area. In addition to general surgery, his clinical interests include laparoscopic hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, laparoscopic gastrointestinal tract surgery and bariatric surgery.
Lillian Badurina
Program Administrator
- Ms. Badurina has been with the Surgery Residency program since 1997. Her expertise and dedication to the program has been endless. 2013-2018 she was a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Residency Coordinators in Surgery and past President of the association (2017-2018). As President she was responsible for the overall coordinating and planning of the annual ARCS meeting held in conjunction with the annual Association of Program Directors in Surgery meeting. Ms. Badurina has presented at the American College of Surgeons Clinic Congress to medical students who are exploring the pathway to a surgery residency. Lilly is also a member of the Central Ohio Program Administrators (COPA) where she has been invited to present to new coordinators throughout central Ohio. She received her original certification as a Certified Training Administrator of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME) in 2009. She was a member of the Association of Residency Administrators in Surgery Ad Hoc Committee 2018-2019 to review ACGME Communications including but not limited to the ACGME proposed changes to the new Common Program Requirements. Lilly enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is the Administrative Director for a Croatian dance group "Selo of Columbus" that performs songs and dances of Croatia.

Lowell W. Chambers, MD, FACS

- Lowell Chambers, MD is a board certified surgeon with Central Ohio Surgical Associates and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky and completed his surgical training at Mount Carmel Health System. Dr. Chambers has extensive trauma experience as a result of his service to our country as a Navy surgeon in Iraq. He has a special interest in trauma and critical care, hepatobiliary surgery, and pancreatic surgery. Dr. Chambers resides in the Westerville area and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Fernando Aguila, MD, FACS

- Dr. Aguila is fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care from the Mayo Clinic. Prior to this his surgery residency was completed at Mount Carmel. He manages all general surgical conditions and is proficient in both minimally invasive and open techniques. He has a special interest in oncology, endocrine, gastrointestinal and hernia surgery, as well as expertise in advanced robotic procedures including pancreaticoduodenectomies.
Marcus R. Miller, MD, FACS

- Marcus R. Miller, MD is a board certified surgeon with Central Ohio Surgical Associates, specializing in bariatric and general surgery. An Ohio native, Dr. Miller completed his undergraduate work at The Ohio State University and completed his medical degree at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. His performed his general surgery residency at the Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. Active in the medical community, Dr. Miller is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Columbus Medical Association. He is also an elected member of Alpha Omega Alpha and serves on multiple hospital committees. Dr. Miller lives in Dublin and enjoys watching Ohio State football, traveling soccer, and spending time with his sons.
Maurice-Pierre Pagé, MD, FACS

- Maurice-Pierre Pagé is a board certified surgeon with Central Ohio Surgical Associates. He received his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed a residency in general surgery at Mount Carmel Health. Dr. Pagé has been on faculty since August of 2013 after completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has presented at national meetings on the topics of obesity surgery, reflux surgery and robotic surgery simulation. Dr. Pagé holds memberships with the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Pagé lives in the Hilliard area with his wife. He is an avid golfer and hiker.
James Sinard, MD, FACS

- James M. Sinard, MD is a board-certified surgeon. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge and his medical degree with distinction from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. Dr. Sinard completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center. A diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Sinard resides in Powell with his wife. He enjoys gardening and model trains.
Kristine Slam, MD, FACS

- Kristine Slam, MD is a board-certified surgeon with Metropolitan Surgery division, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and completed her surgical training at the University of Toledo. Dr. Slam serves as the Medical Director of Cancer Services at Mount Carmel East Hospital and facilitates the Multidisciplinary Tumor Board at this location. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and has given several invited lectures on breast diseases and breast cancer. Dr. Slam is active in the surgical residency program with resident education. She serves as the Chair of the East Department of Surgery and participates on several hospital administrative committees. Dr. Slam lives in Blacklick with her husband and daughter and enjoys traveling and shoes.
Adam Zochowski, MD, FACS

- Adam M. Zochowski, MD is a board certified surgeon with Central Ohio Surgical Associates, performing general and breast surgery. Dr. Zochowski earned his medical degree at Wright State University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, Ohio State Medical Association, and the Columbus Medical Association. He is also an assistant professor of surgery at The Ohio State University, and an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor. Dr. Zochowski lives in New Albany with his wife and son. He enjoys cars and spending time with his family.

- Dr. Dizon has been associated with Mount Carmel Health System since January 2010 as a trauma surgeon, surgical intensivist and the medical director for Mount Carmel's trauma program. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and graduate school at the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston, Texas. After attending the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Dizon completed his general surgery residency in Columbus, Ohio at Doctors Hospital. He went on to complete a trauma and surgical critical care fellowship at Grant Medical Center. He is a board member of COTS and an examiner for the written and oral general surgery boards through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. As for his personal life, he is married with three daughters and outside of medicine; his interests include family, vacationing, live music, fast cars and college football (except OSU).

Nancy Earls, CNP

- Nancy received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from The Ohio State University. She is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her background is in surgical and neuro ICU nursing. Nancy works with the Chief Surgical Residents and the Clinic Surgery Service at Mount Carmel Grove City helping to manage surgical patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
