Breast Imaging Nurse Navigators

Information and support are two of the most important and empowering things you can receive when you have breast health concerns.  And that’s exactly what Mount Carmel’s Breast Imaging Nurse Navigators provide.

By serving as a resource, advocate and friend, they provide the education and guidance you need should you receive abnormal breast cancer screening results.  That includes:

• Providing you with information and education about the screening process and your results
• Assuring you get timely access to a diagnostic evaluation or biopsy, if needed
• Teaching you about Breast Self Exam (BSE), Clinical Breast Exam (CBE), breast imaging, diagnostic testing and breast interventional procedures
• Educating you about additional breast imaging studies you may need
• Communicating with your doctor should you need further diagnostic evaluation and or breast biopsy
• Putting you and your family in touch with helpful resources inside and outside Mount Carmel
• Connecting you with an Oncology Navigator should you need one
